Soft Lies (Part 73)

by ntv650   Dec 23, 2004

I tried to walk away, but a gentle hand stopped and made me look back
She sung so softly I could not help but give her everything in my heart
Every-time I try not to get close a tender force would make me hold you in my arms
A Nudge inside, an irresistible urge to smell your hair and get lost in your eyes

Did you see her, That evangelic presence that just touched my face,
If she was not real, then nothing should be, in this fantasy before so much like reality
Perhaps I can make this dream come true, by feeling the beat of your heart
I wont find the answers by looking at the stars, or by flipping heads or tails
I’ll find my strength in the palm of your hands, deep where I plead my future lies

A colorful world designed for us to be together is what I wish,
Where it only rains if you cry, and where I can dance you into the night
Turning me into the light because you’re the lucky one who shines like a star
Keeping you company in our glorious destiny, taken by having you at my side
But while time dances, I gaze through the looking glass to see what the future hides.

Out in this place, where there is just enough room for me and you
I have no more bad dreams in the night, no-one to fear or fight
Lost because its you and theres no doubt anymore as to what I want
It’s you whose softly held my hand and not let me get away,
sweet torture as my heart promises me we’ll never let go of each other again
Lying to myself that this is the way it will be forever until that day that I die
