You were there for me from the start

every day hyper 'n happy
you'd cheer me on if you were on a diff team
you'd stand up when somebody was mean
you put the jump in my skip
you laughed at me when I'd trip
we had so much fun and I'll never forget
what you did for me...

but all good things come to an end
and so did you being my friend
you got into a different crowd
and you were way to proud
to talk to the same old me
your old best friend you'd love to see
and i didn't even cry when you went
because the time was well spent
and even if you ditched me now
i have no idea how
i would have made it in the start
if you hadn't reached into my heart.
