Disguise

by So-Not-Normal   Dec 24, 2004

They walked the hallways all alone,
Silently talking about home,
The girl says her house is a perfect place,
Free of all pain and disgrace,
The boy says he envies her a lot,
Cause he’s got scars for every fight that he’s fought,
If only he knew what she held deep inside,
Knew about all the tears that she’s cried,
He’d never wish that he was in her place,
Never believe the fake smile on her face,
The ones that are suppose to protect,
Are the ones her hurt her and show know respect,
They make her feel just like crap,
Wound her so bad without even a slap,
So many times has she turned to that knife,
Wishing that she was done with her life,
She’s beginning to lose all hope,
With all her problems she cannot cope,
She’s afraid that she’ll never be saved,
Afraid that the only time she’ll be happy is in her grave,
She wants nothing more than for her angel to appear,
And take away all this painful fear
She’s afraid that he might never arrive,
Afraid that alone she wont survive,
She holds all this pain deep in her heart,
So that she wont be set apart,
If someone ever found out she don’t know what she’d do,
Because when they did her mask would be unglued,
All her problems would be left out there,
And she’d have to take every pitiful stare,
Never again would people believe her lies,
Never again could she paint a disguise,
So she must never let her emotions flow,
This boy must never know,
He must continue envying her,
Saying that her life he would prefer,
She must walk these halls and keep her head up high,
She must stay that way until its her turn to die.
