Faceless Angel

by The Names Craig!   Dec 25, 2004

Nothing but a statue is left of a town.
This statue is of one counsel to the crown.
Everything around her brought down
By an army that had just come around

Gliding around on feathery wings
But unknown what this angel brings.
Sadness and death follows when she sings,
And to any by-passer it clings.

Untalked about in the evangel,
But she is an archangel
Carrying a shield and cudgel.
Her name is the Faceless Angel.

I just had to praise the last stance,
    "Untalked about in the evangel,
    But she is an archangel,
    Carrying a shield and cudgel,
Her name is the Faceless Angel."
Absolutly lovely. Sadly beautiful, I love your choice of words, wisely formatted. Good job
