Funny how one person
Can make you feel so good
Then the next minute you realize
They never understood
A simple smile
Can brighten up your day
But one time that they forget to notice you
Can take all the happiness away
You notice when they're down
But they don't notice half the time
That you feel the same as them
But after you fall its impossible to climb
Maybe you’re just a better faker
Maybe you hide yourself too much
Maybe if in the past they'd been someone to care
Someone who could heal you with one soft touch
When you’re feeling down
The person who comforts you
Might not be any happier
And their comforting words may be untrue
Look into their eyes
Do you see pure happiness?
Or do their eyes glaze over?
With feelings they cannot express
Well I would look into those who I tell
But they're never right next to me
I never have their loving arms
Or their eyes to watch over me and see
And I'm lying when I say
I want you to know
Because how can that be true
When fakeness is all I show
I should be happy now
I really don’t know why
This frown remains on my face
And as I write I slowly begin to sigh
I feel I’m repeating myself
Another sad dam day
Why was I never a sweet little child?
Who enjoyed to run around and play
Little things always manage to get in
And freeze my heart apart
I just want to smile for real this time
And just begin again from the start
Give me another life
I’ll do it right this time I swear
I’ll be anything you want me to be
Just don’t leave me here in despair
I’ve walked this road
So many times
But this time I see
You have to except your life sometimes
If you don’t
There’s only one other option there
It is to take that life of yours
But would you really dare?
Would you hurt those around you?
Just so you didn’t feel pain
So maybe just stay unhappy
