Not Even Near (Part 76)

by ntv650   Dec 26, 2004

I swear as I sit here writing this now
Your standing behind me watching with eyes slowly forming tears
Goosebumps lining my arms and neck, lips trembling,
As I feel your hand rest on my shoulder

Now I can see everything it’s all so clear,
The music from my earplugs I cannot hear
So I turn to face you, convincing yourself that you’re here,
Only to have to turn around and carry on writing.

Admitting that your not even near.
