Figgy

by Incognito   Dec 27, 2004

At lunchtime every single day
While other kids went out to play
Figgy sat in the girls bathroom and wept.

Out of her pocket came a blade
From her wrists the blood sprayed
Crimson secrets she could not accept.

Then one day she cut too deep
Jeremy found her in a heap.
Jeremy was Figgy’s only friend.

Though Jeremy was a boy he did cry
I can’t leave her alone to die
Split his vein and waited for the end.

In the bathroom you can feel their pain
And watch red water rushing down the drain.
Shadows of girl and boy won’t ever change.

Hey good poem. The rhyme scheme was interesting, especially the ending lines of the stanzas. This poem definitely had an interesting plot, and stuck with it consistently. Good job.
