The hate in his eyes

by Sarrah   Dec 27, 2004

It was as if he had left the room
It was as if he wasn’t there

Every time I talked to him
It was as if we couldn’t be
It was as if there were three of him and one of me

Every time I looked in his eyes
It was as if he was possessed
It was like looking into the eyes of the devil

The hate in his eyes was so deep and so dark
Mark my words fore I know:
The hate in his eyes will seep into your skin and burn you within

The hate in his eyes was so big and so great
Date him and you’ll see the hate in his eyes will
Hurt you more if you can breathe
If you can’t good luck to you, don’t pass out cuz I tried that too

The hate in his eyes is like an ocean
So big and so blue
Two times as big as a tigers hunger
Four times as big as the tiger itself

The hate in his eyes, the hate within
The hate, trust me it wasn’t fake
It was hate and it was real

It didn’t appeal to be fate even though it was
Fore if you looked deeper and if you looked more

If you looked you would see

The love in his eyes like an island
Although surrounded by hate it ate its way out
Like a tear of heartbreak

Looking at me he wasn’t himself
He was sad and he was mad
He was rude he had a tude
He was good I knew he could

He did it, oh yes he did
He shooed the devil and lived again
But it all started with me looking within
Seeing his hate knowing his fate

I knew in my heart that it would start
But why so soon and why right now
Why didn’t he stay in his cocoon and hide away
Why couldn’t he stop loving me

I broke his heart oh yes I did
I took it out and tore it up
I tried to stop but I couldn’t

It was as if I’d left the room
It was as if I wasn’t there
It was as if I were watching a show,
Watching it flow, knowing it would never end

I wrote this one right after talking to one of my friends. We had just broken up and he was pretty upset that I wouldn't go back out with him. Although he is still trying.
