Darkness

They always acted like she wasn't there
And so she always thought life was unfair
In the middle she was caught
An ongoing battle she fought
Ranging for her best friend's peace of mind
A bit of happiness she did not find
She struggled with cutting every day
She thought over suicide in every way
But she couldn't do it she was scared
She didn't want to imagine how her friends would have fared
She has a very nagging obsession
An obsession that feeds off of her depression
She for herself has no pity
She only wonders why her life is so shitty
An iron heart she has wrought
To ever love she shall not
She tried once before
But try again she shall not once more
They always acted like she wasn't there
And so she decided life was unfair
She talks to her best friend for hours at a time
They talk about everything, with reason and sometimes rhyme
In the middle she was caught
An ongoing battle she had fought
Ranging for her best friend's peace of mind
A bit of happiness she did not find
