Never Let Go

by Look At Me   Dec 28, 2004

She sits in her room
Tears streaming down her face
Delicate hands shaking
Her eyes burning red

She was hurt by many
For what she believed in
Bright red blood prickled
From her soft cheeks
Bruises covered her arms
Cuts lined her back

She stood up
But was soon beaten down
Her heart was shattered
Her beliefs rattled around
She sits confused
Of what next to do

Her sheets beside her
Splottered with her blood
For her wrists are cut
The blade by her side
That she used for the crime

A faint knock was heard
Startling her so
She lay in bed
Covering her head

The door cracks open
Not her mother
But her friend stood
In the doorway tears
Pouring down

She uncovered her head
To see who it was
Her face lit up
But soon faded again

She tried to hide the blood
But her friend came over
And sat on the bed
Uncovering her head

Her eyes grew wide
At the horrid sight
She grabbed her damaged friend
They held each other tight
Never letting go
