The Gift of Understanding

Man has by nature a power to penetrate into the meaning of things
But his nature does not have the power to understand fully what faith brings
But by the gift of supernatural understanding, man can find the meaning of a divine light
Knowing by his faith the truth of God’s living word even though heaven is out of his natural sight

Of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, understanding is one of seven
We must understand the holy word of God to see Him in heaven
