O the precious gifts of the Holy Ghost
Dispose the soul with virtues of the most,
Harmony with the movements of grace,
To lead us to the Lord’s warm embrace

Natural counsel is the research of reason
Reason always precedes a willful decision,
It requires a kind of self- advice, that is thinking with the mind
Supernatural counsel is advice of a different kind

Divine advice and guidance imparted by the Holy Spirit
O Lord, let us open this precious gift, so that we may hear it
