Lovers bay

by chass williams   Dec 28, 2004

Saltwater mist and an ocean view
lying in a hammock next to you
carona bottle with a lime inside
following the beat of the ocean tide
family of four looking for shells
a boat at the dock waiting to sail
as the sun sets across the bay
she grabs my hand and i hear her say
this is the way it shall always be
every time you with me
so keep this place deep inside
so the two of us can go and hide
anytime we need to get way
well just float on in to lovers bay
tonight well be the best team in town
the happiest couple dancing around
sit down to rest kick off your shoes
a kiss on my cheek at our table for two
they play that final song that we always sing
middle of the dance i slip on that ring
now we become one here today
she told me she loved me at lovers bay
and this is the way it shall always be
every time your with me
so keep this place deep inside
so the two of us can go and hide
anytime we need to get away
well just float on in to lovers bay
yeah well just float on in to lovers bay
