If I can't act

by abigail   Dec 28, 2004

Mom I told you I wanted to write a book you said good
Mom I told you I wanted to publish my book you said alright
Mom I told you I wanted to make my book into a movie you said ok
Mom I told you I wanted to act in my movie you said no
Mom you told me I can't act, it's not my talent
I went to my room angry, I couln't keep balance
So many thoughts kept running through my head
I was so mad tears from my eyes shed
Mom you said you wanted me to tell you
what was going on in my life and what I do
So I told you but all the other times I was acting mom, you didn't have a clue
Mom if I can't act,
how did you buy all the lies I have said?
And how did you believe the fake looks I gave you, when inside I was dead?
Mom if you think I can't act, you must be blind
Mom I can act,
I write the script in my mind
You think you know who I am?
take a guess
My life is a play
What should I say next?
