A letter to my friend

Dear friend,
Your love is the strongest medicine of all,
It sets my diseased mind free once and for all,
Be my light and my guiding star,
Knowing that without you I cannot go any far,
Your confidence in me builds up the pillar of strength that I seek,
Without your faith my legs just feel all the more weak,
With your help this world can see me shine,
Your encouragement rejuvenates a life in this dead soul of mine,
You showed me the person I am; My true identity,
Along with God you are my only need; My necessity,
You came to me when the whole world deserted me,
Not expecting anything;
Not even a return for all those feelings you have for me,
Even now when I enter another phase and start my life anew,
You tell me “I’ll be here” knowing that I can always count on you,
But I pray to God; a precious gift like you he should never send,
For an unworthy soul like mine deserves nothing like you- “My Dear Friend”….
