What I'm Meant For

Maybe I'm meant,
to be alone,
to have a hard heart,
one made of stone.

Maybe I'm meant,
to have this pain,
never to be lifted,
never again.

Maybe I'm meant,
to feel the sting,
watch my life go,
among other things.

Maybe I'm meant,
to feel this way,
never enlightened,
will it go away?

Maybe I'm meant,
to slowly die,
not in the flesh,
but in the inside.

But maybe I'm meant,
to rise above,
to begin healing,
to feel love.

Maybe I'm meant,
to be inspired,
why should I lie down and die,
when I'm not tired.

Life is too short,
to watch it go bye,
I'll push back the darkness,
until it is time.
