Something I've Learned

Maybe it's the truth,
But I've learned that friends lie.
Theres too much deceit
theres too much to hide.

All these years,
The only love I've ever known.
Dealing with pain.
I stand alone.

I guess I grew up.
I guess i now know.
Rely on yourself.
Where else can you go?

    wow, i LOVE this poem, its soo easy to relate to. i really like the repetition in the 1st and 3rd stanzas & the word choice & well, the entire poem... very nicely done!
