MY SECRET FRIEND

by harold   Dec 29, 2004

The shackles drop from its wet body…
The locks open with an emotional key.
Chains drop…setting it free,
This beast made of pain becomes reality.
Just as my world becomes chaos,
She stands by my side to tame the beast,
Putting it at rest only to protect me.
My heart begins to cries its songs,
My soul reaches out to not float far.
She dries these tears calming my heart.
She brings my soul back to it domain not letting it get far.
Unspoken in this world no one knows she listens,
To my screams and tears which flow from my voice.
None knows she witnesses the fears I face.
Only to keep the balance of life we remain the same…silent,
My secret friend…an unspoken Angel.
Looking from a window she watches my world,
In the shadows she travels,
Staying shy from the light in which would expose.
That she know the trauma in which I draw.
My lifeless body walking with a smile…
She knows the pain in which grows with time.
My love for my pain only grows with age…
Hoping one day it will intertwine,
Bringing me happiness in this lifetime.
So again a night has passed and a day has begun.
Tears were shed and souls were torn.
Hearts were hurt and minds were lost.
She dried the tears,
Laid souls to rest.
Kept hearts content,
And minds sane.
My secret friend…an unspoken Angel.
I must thank you for being a friend.
Goodnight and Thank you
