Why are you surprised,
When young girls become pregnant,
When young boys are ignorant,
When teen-agers are extravagant,
When they all are a disappointment,
Why are you shocked,
At the way we behave,
After all,
You are to blame,
Your cars caused pollution,
So we cannot breathe,
Your dreams caused delusion,
Now the truth is unsheathed,
Your drugs caused addiction,
And baby’s deformed,
Your hate caused corruption,
And broken family,
Your love caused distortion,
And despondency,
And you wonder why we hate?
You wonder why we can’t wait,
To escape our lives?
Why are you surprised?
After all,
You are the ones to blame.
