Loose Reins

An elegant mane and tail,
So tall they tower high.
The chocolate brown, jet black or white
The grace they signify,
And their mischievous, playful nature.
They are pure beauty.
Their entirety, they love and are loved.
Their loyalty shines out, out of their glistening eyes.
They carry me through my troubles,
Offer me warmth and comfort.
They are my forerunners.
They already know who I am when I have no idea.
They will find me, solely.
Only they can charge out the dark
From my life and fill it with fulfilled love light.
Only they can save my soul from the evil surrounding me.
I will be dragged by wild horses. They know a better place for me.

I will always follow a horse.
They lead me into my future.
I’ll ride the waves and canter leaving my woes far behind.

When I was little we had 3 horses...I was the only one who could touch them and even go under them. If you know anything about horses you know they like to kick you, but they never did me. Very good...well done

yeah, beautiful poem jemma, lots of meaning, and it's so light to read, it's almost like being in the poem, and you are almost taken away, they are such calm creatures, and truly comforting, still feel they're sybolic, i may be wrong, an excellent read, and very inspirational. thanks :)
