A Will To Survive

by Ian Robert   Dec 29, 2004

Sometimes these worthless,
Feelings of self hatred,
Awake rapidly, taking over all inside,
Motion sickness, washing over me,
These eyes don't just see,
Pupils are dilating,
They watch over existence as it is.

Precious, I'm so glad your here,
To capture whats inside,
You give me a will to survive,
In this world, that exists to cause destruction,
Picking through these thoughts,
Using this ability to disappoint you,
Maybe my mind isn't as clear as I believe,
The windows here, so abstract and alien,
This is what I needed to make myself see.

Clearly for once, not just a sea of emotions,
Floating forever on this boat, this mass of bones,
Below this, all thats here is liquid crescent depths of darkness.

I really liked this. The descriptive symbols you used really created an intriguing atmosphere and I loved the way you worded the peice. Some of the lines I found just lovely and captivating. Especially the lines,
"Clearly for once, not just a sea of emotions,
Floating forever on this boat, this mass of bones,
Below this, all thats here is liquid crescent depths of darkness."
I love the detailed imagery and beautiful wording you used in that stance. Beautiful, well done
