Words You Write

Why do I hate you for the things you sometimes write,
Reading some lines, I can feel the anger burn bright.

Take a step back, think about why I feel so strong,
But nothings clear, the inferno inside has taken control.

Is it guilt that makes these words sting so bad,
Their position on the page, the magic they have found?

Perhaps, its the denial inside that you have touched,
Maybe my shallow heart that can no longer able hide?

Possibly, the weight of responsibility dropped on my shoulders hurts,
Where before there was an empty space and wretched hope.

These feelings of anger, I can no longer contain,
Your words forcing me to look towards other days.
I need a little break, time to recover, time to gather strength again.
