Deadman's Drive

by Incognito   Dec 30, 2004

This may just look like mincemeat
And it was once very much alive
But now its hacked cadaver
Struck down in Deadman’s Drive.
And there are bullet casings
Lying by a bloodied heap of rags
Murders past the midnight hour
Zipped up in body bags.
The guns concerned are missing
The suspect list is small
‘This is just the beginning’
Written in a bloody scrawl.
Policeman wants some coffee
He’s been working late nights.
Remains are wheeled far away
Prepared for their last rites.
A random act of brutality.
The killer leaves his mark.
He’s hunting for a gorgeous bride.
Out where it’s cold and dark.
