My soul is tarnished, yet slowly healing
I now realize I deserve much better.
you never cared to listen to me~
So I'll reach you in this poetic letter.
I thought what we had was such the love
but now while I'm looking back
I see that I was too good for you
because of special qualities that you lack.
Honesty is a trait you lost in yourself
because of things done to you in your past
but you must learn to forgive & forget
in order to make any relationship last.
Trust comes from deep within the heart
yet doubt was always filling your head
but why is it that you contradicted yourself
by taking back all the loving words you've said?
Devotion is what you never gave to me
you were too busy loving your own self
you thought you deserved to be placed upon a throne
while you placed me on the bottom shelf.
Dedication never crossed your mind
but I gave myself up entirely up for you
now I can begin to take back my life
and again become the "me" you never knew!!!
