The Man in the Corner

by Kathy   Feb 17, 2003

My friend was having a party
She invited me
She said to come alone
And not to worry

Excited as I was
I wasn't aware of who was gonne be there
Nor did I know how long it was or when
But I didn't really care

Putting on my favorite outfit
Because I was gonna have a good time
I couldn't wait to arrive
Because it was my turn to shine

I finally got there
With a big smile on my face
With so much people
There wasn't much space

I asked my friend, "who are these people?"
She looked at me
And said, "I don't know.
I didn't invite then to the party."

There was not much to do
At that moment on
So we decided to dance
To our favorite song

I looked around the room
And noticed a stare
From the man in the corner
Which kept me aware

I told my friend
She said no to worry
And have a good time
Because it was a party

But there was something about that man
That told me beware
So I left the party
While he was still in stare

As I was walking to my car
I noticed a shadow on my back
It was he. The man in the corner
Dressed up in black

Out of no where
He grabbed my waste
And without even thinking
I sprayed him with my mase

I hopped in my car
And drove away
Unfortunatly, it still happens
To women today

Whenever you go to a party
Know when, why, and where
But most of all
Know whose gonna be there
