I called in the police after my ex-boyfriend ripped mine apart.
The 5-0 said they would help but I did not have the proof
they claim I am a jealous woman who inside me knew the truth.
The fingerprints were smudged so the evidence was not there
so the officer had asked, "Who would take your heart and to where?".
An incident report was taken and he said "We'll see what we can find,
a word of advise though, to seek your heart just use your mind".
"Sir I trusted him with my heart and with my soul I trusted too".
"You say you still love him ma'am, what is it we should do?".
"We can put out an APB tonight and try to catch your man".
"Sir please bring me back my heart, and bring him back too, if you can".
He said, "We'll try our best to save it, we see this type of stuff here all the time",
"I'm sorry to have to tell you but a taken heart is not a crime".
So he brought to me the suspect and said, "We think we found your guy".
With all the dignity I had I said, "Yes he took my heart from me but why?"
The trial date was set and the jury took his side
because I willingly gave my heart away without keeping it inside.
