Someone elses dreams

I let the opportunity pass,
My fear held me back,
Now everyone is passing me
I begin to fall behind.

Always knew what it was I wanted,
For years I had a plan,
I would get away from here,
I'd leave to follow my dream.

As the decision time came nearer,
I began to doubt,
I lost belief I had it in me,
I convinced myself to stay.

Now as my friends leave for their dreams,
Make their way to life,
The life they've always dreamt of,
I watch my dream fade away.

Soon I will be left here in a place,
I don't want to be,
In a world suited to another,
Full of someone elses dreams.
