He makes me stop

by Elizabeth Ruiz   Dec 30, 2004

When I saw him, that first day
I felt different, a sudden change
From across the room we kept stareing
Looking at each other without bearing
Heading back home
his eyes filling up my mind
I wondered what could of happened if we moved too fast
Getting ready to sleep, to finish a day's work.
His smile brightens me, almost getting me lost
This was the first time I saw him
but as I'm ready to cut
I see his face stareing, a speck left by the wind blown
All night I did not sleep, I was just thinking of him
and every time I tried to harm myself, I felt like there was no need
He made me stop the yelling
He made me stop the pain
He made me stop the ignorance that once brought me shame
He makes me stop and reconsider
that I have a future ahead
He makes me stop and think about him
When the road's dark and I'm afraid.

**please comment and vote, I haven't written a "happy" poem, I just got over my old crush with the help of this great guy. Thanks
