When reality kicked in

I used to believe in fairy tales
you know all the lot
i used to believe in the greater good
but now Ive lost the plot
when my life seemed bad it just got worse until finally
i forgot to believe and remembered only reality
but i still like to think
of the time
when everything seemed good
my life was simply perfect but then i found the truth
my life could not stay perfect no matter how hard i tried
every time i tried harder
small parts of me had died
this isn't fair
what had i done?
to deserve this misery
but i guess this happened to everyone
but why'd it have to happen to me?
