One Star

One Star

I see one star lighting up the skies,
When darkness comes and never dies.
One star holding it's place,
In the black hole that we call space.
It shines by itself as if the others are scared,
The won't show their face while they are teared.
They're afraid to shine with their light,
They're afraid to be themselves and to be bright.
Why should they hide their face when there is no reason to be ashamed?
Who is leading them on this trip how have they become tamed?
When will they learn that they can think for themselves without anyone?
Or are they so stupid that they're going to sit around and wait for the sun?
When the sun comes their be stuck some where else alone,
When they fall apart are we the ones going to be sewn?
Maybe someone will come and help them shine,
And then maybe everything will be fine.
If not the strong one then who?
Who could do the things they want them too?
I'll try as i might to help them up when they are down,
To pick up the pieces and stop all the frowns.
I can brighten the world if I try,
I could dry people when they cry.
But my life is different I can't make myself happy,
I can't stop my life from being all sappy.
I can hide it and not let it show,
And no matter how I try I cannot let it go.
I'll smile throughout the day without a pause,
I'll make it to where no one can see my flaws.
I am the one star shining bright,
Holding on to my light.
I will never be replaced,
With a different light feeled with haced.
