This year was a bummer
Worst I ever had
I had a con for a friend
My love left me
My friends all turned against me
The next has got to be better
Maybe I’ll win the lottery
Maybe I’ll find my family
Maybe I’ll get engaged
Maybe even married
Maybe I’ll gain a friend
Someone who likes me
Someone I can trust
Someone I’ll share my life with
Maybe things will be worse
How bad that would be
I hope next year will be one of glee.
