Years and miles can not stop the laughter
When things look down for the both of us
We turn to each other looking for a smile
To live life for a moment together

Friends created by the written words of women and men
Laughter never heard and tears never seen
Yet we give each other the title of friend
A friendship that some may not understand
Yet a friendship that can withstand anything

We do not take from each other
Because there is nothing to take
Only words are given
Words that keep it together
And words that can break it apart

Encouragement is all we ask for
Maybe a joke or two
Some advice when things are not clear
A friend when the physical ones are not there
And eyes so that we can listen without ignoring
