Despair

Its dark again
the silence usually follows
Alone with my thoughts
All i hear is the beating of my own heart

A single tear escapes my eye
gracefully rolling down my cheek
The reason for this tear
is unknown...

The weight of my sorrow
seems so unbearable
It holds on and doesnt let go
till the last breath is gone

Looking as far as i can see
the only thing visible to eye
is a dead end
that never opens

Feeling hopeless
Feeling fear
When again will I give an
honest smile

Looking into his eyes
I see hope
In his eyes
there is courage

They give me the strength
to pick myself up
This time
I feel beyond reach

I lay down my head
fall asleep
Escape from this despair
Till i awake
