My Bill

I can't believe it happened i won't deney i cried
for the time we were together i never left your side

and even now we've gone our separate ways
i still look back and cry at all our happy days

the way you looked into my eyes the way you had your hair
the way i felt so loved when ever you were there

we'd sit across the room starring at each other
knowing in our hearts we couldn't be together

and even then we knew that what we did was wrong
but my feelings for a lad had never been so strong

we couldn't help our feelings we wanted it so bad
and when we finally got it we'd never been so glad

we made a promise to each other a promise you swore you keep
through thick and thin we stay together even when asleep

but when it finally hit you that the road ahead was rough
the lad i thought i loved didn't seem as tough

you told me it was over you went and broke my heart
after i had told you that i loved you from the start

and now all i ask is for one more chance with you
and then you make it clear that this we cannot do

you say i never made you happy although i believed i could
your one of the lads that i got which i never thought i would

for a brief moment in time you belonged to me
a great couple we made although you couldn't see

everyone was saying how good we were together
and every night i prayed we'd always be forever

I've loved you for so long and this i always will but loosing you forever that is my bill.
