Identity

by FTS Miles   Jan 2, 2005

Shards of crystal scatter
before a hammer
of "Trust"
and "Caring"
and bitter "Inequality"....
Fragments of joy
of sharing
of laughter
cascade about my gem
of wellspring sundered,
blinking,
aching,
blind.

No jewel of self
can be truly yours if
to be so is to be
but broken
over a sliver of
questioned
identity.

You know, I don't even know if i should bother writing a comment so poetic as Adrienne or Elizabeth. Hmm.

The point I ought to make, though, is that I found your poem immensly intriguing. Well thought out, truly written and poignantly poetic. It made me think, bluntly. And at about this point I give up on poetic commenting.

The shards impress me as the one's charecter and the jewel their core self.

A well spoken, magnificent tale of soul searching.
