It's Another New Year!

It's another new year
this is what I feared
hopefully more smiles then frowns
and a hell of a lot more ups then downs.

Just yesterday
it seemed to be 1993
can you believe how much time has gone
one day it'll all pass by me.

Sometimes I wish I could
just go back in time
and fix all of my mistakes
which today, still haunt my mind.

Maybe I could stop
all the saddness of this past year
and make new memories for the future
no more would there be a shedded tear.

Time just goes by so quick
and there's no going back
I try holding unto everything
but most of all I try to gain what I lack.

    Hi Jen..I enjoyed your poem....and so agree witht hat last stanxa..time does fly and there's no going back..I think of that most when I look at my 11 year old boy and think he's growing up so quickly and to be patient with him when he annoys me :) because this is the only chance..just one..that I'll get to raise him..and also agree..try to hold on to everything and yet gain some ground at the same time..very nice...:) Michelle

    Great poem for the New Year.....Awesome...That seems to be everyone's wish but unfortunately you can not go back...I would have gone back MANY times. You got to deal and move forward. May this new year bring you GOOD memories to share and carry into the next year. Keep it up and take care....
