Undying compassion

by Belinda   Jan 2, 2005

I feel the pain and suffering
Though the illness is not my own
The only comfort I have to give
Is you not carrying this burden alone

I watch the life wash away
With every pill you swallow
Knowing there is wasted time
For sleep will surely follow

The only comfort that I recieve
Is from our Lord above
Who, Through the grief we both endure
Shows us his undying love

For I know in my heart
If faith holds strong and true
Our pain will end with either a cure
Or with heaven as our eternal view

Either way our misery ends
There will be smiles through our tears
For I know we'll be together again
Be it now or in the coming years
