Inner Demons

by ShatteredAngel   Jan 3, 2005

Her eyes hold so much misery
And her heart holds so much pain
But why am I the only one that sees it
When her eyes release the rain

I see the blade pierce her skin
And hear her scream in agony
Yet no-one comes to help her
And set her inner demons free

The blood pours down her arm
And drips onto the floor
Spilling out her secret
As she falls against the door

Her eyes open up
And the rain is released
Then she lies still
Her movement ceased

What made her cry
Wasn't her sliced skin
Or her inner demons
Who were built up within

No, what made this girl cry
Was easy to see
When I looked into the puddle of blood
I saw this girl was me
