By the way, this Tanka is a response to a Tanka written by Aken Sol called "Conflict." Check it out to realize the full philosophical thought, if you can call it that.

And what does "Teems" mean? Wouldn't "stem" be a better choice of words?

no, its just a type of cactus, and well cacti is the plural of cactus. to teem is to be prolific or fertile, or to be full of things. I liked teems better than stem.
