At First

by Lisha Renae   Jan 3, 2005

I miss those days,
When it was just us,
Just You n me.
But now, Shes in my place.

Miss the life,
we had together,
we spent all our time,
with one another.

You'd take me to lunch,
Or on a walk in the park,
and that is what life felt like,
We'd stare at the stars,
Until Dawn came around.

My head on your chest,
so close to your heart,
Listening to the beat.

You Promised me,
we'd be forever,
Always together,
Just me and you.

Our hands entwined,
Our hearts in unison,
We'd walk this path,
And take on the world,
Together we can make it,,
We could do it,
Just as long as we put,
Our hearts into it.

If only it were true,
Wish I COULD count on you,
But you broke my heart,
And Shattered my heart.

Soon I met,
A Side of you I'd never met,
You were seeing someone new,
The minute I turned my back,
You were hitting the sack,
But it wasn't with me,
That you were putting,
Your Passion into.

It took me a while,
But I'm finally moving on,
At first I hated her,
But now I pity her.

Because,
I know you are telling her,
The same thing you told me,
But I know this game,
I know how this story goes,

It always ends the same,
But as long as it's with you,
It'll never be,
A Happy Ending.
