Bite The Dust

by Ian Robert   Jan 4, 2005

Theres something soothing,
About that drop,
That seems to take forever to fall,
Reverse the process and inject life back into my arms,
Blue veins seem so hollow, how can they survive without it,
These wrists have had to heal themselves,
So many times, I've had to hide,
Inside of a shell thats so weak and frail,
Dormancy of something waiting for me to sleep,
Subconscious urges, trying to feel what I lost so long ago,
This form of cruelty's has just begun,
So when I loose myself within nightmares,
Try to find it as the single last god bites the dust.

I really liked this piece. I like how you used the symbols to describe the pain hollow feeling of the poem. It was darkly written in a lovely way, and I really admired the lines
"Subconscious urges, trying to feel what I lost so long ago,
This form of cruelty's has just begun"
    Well done
