I'll Be Waiting for You Here

by Leah20   Jan 4, 2005

His final actions
Captured his personality
So easy for the eye to see
His beautiful soul shown through
He knew it was coming
He knew that it was about to claim his life
The Chemotherapy was so long and treacherous,
Pain he could not bear
And as he fell he said:

"I am prepared
I know what I face
I know what is to become of me
I know this is my place
I know that you may hurt
But please cry no tears for me
Simply recall my memory
I don't want my legacy tarnished

I don't want my image to cause you pain
I want you to recall the happy times
Like our late-night walks in the rain
The way our hands fit
So perfectly in each others'
The way we kissed under the moonlight
The way you caressed my face
The feeling of your warm embrace
Will carry me on until we meet in heaven
Promise me that you won't forget me;
Forget us
But carry on with your life
Find someone whom you love and whom you trust
Take him as your husband
Care for him, as you would have for me
But don't forsake my memory
Don't cast me away forever
Because I'll be watching your every move
Savor your life
Be thankful for your children
And remember that when it's your time
I'll be waiting here
Cancer-free
Forever we can be together
In our heavenly paradise
I'll be waiting for you here

I'm not offended, I actually agree with you, I was reluctant to put it on here because of that fact. Thanks for your comment
