Moving On

You are trying your best
You are trying your hardiest
But it’s not that easy
To simply move on

After a break up
You see all the bad things
And they hit you in the face
Without even a call in advance

You seem alone
And left out in the cold
Without anything to live on
And nothing for you to move on to

Your heart feels rotten
Burned and bruised
You seem so lost
And all at once confused

You seem to swell
With all the sound around you
You seem to forget what you’re living for
And never notice why you’re even living in this world

You always find the trouble
And all the pain inside
You find the lonely days
And all the endless crying in your mind

When you finally see it wasn’t meant to be
You still feel lost
Like no one’s there to catch you when you fall
Or even there at all

But time will help with all of that
And make you blank out the bad
And become hole again
And see that this isn’t gonna be the end

When you finally move on with your life
You’ll see that next time
It’ll all be your choice
And that you may think it over twice

But until then, you’ll face the reality of broken love
And you’ll hurt for sometime
But it’ll all disappear
Without even a glance or a rhyme

So always remember that broken love
Just needs time to heal
And to become undone
And just to simply find the strength to move on
