Lying Awake

by Ð맆îñ¥   Jan 4, 2005

I’m still lying here
Sleep just won’t come
I’m fed up of waiting
Bored as hell, but thinking of you

But whilst my thoughts quicken
Sleep gets away
More awake than ever
My thinking flickers
I get lost in my daydreams
But they are not the same

I’m lying here
My head on this pillow
My body lies tired; my mind does not
I wonder how much I have to take
Before I am released, replenished
By the beautiful sense of sleep
