Dark cloud

A dark cloud hovers over me
It’s scary, like a constant shadow
That I always see.
I try to run but it always catches up
There’s nowhere to run,
There’s nowhere to hide,
I can't overcome this I've tried.
No one can help ease my pain,
It’s flooding my body like endless rain.
I'm struggling to hold on
But so close to letting go,
Drowning in myself
As these feelings over flow.
Will I ever get through this?
That I’ll never know,
Because I am now on top of that dark cloud
No longer below.
