I was on the Train

by Ð맆îñ¥   Jan 4, 2005

I’m on the move
Everyone else sleeps
The train rattles through a tunnel

Not one stirs from their slumber
I borrow a paper from the table
The stories just upset me.

Unfortunately news can be made anywhere
You never want it to be you
So you forget that it could

After entering the world outside
That friendly greeting from the light
A tragedy struck

The train came off its path
Strayed from the known
We flew through the air
Onto the roadside below

I remember

I see the people waking now
Clinging to the air
Hands bury their heads

Graffiti covered in blood
As people soar through the air
Changing direction with the train

I know what happened
Many never did
Many died
Lost all hope of reaching home

They’ve been delayed
