Almost A Year

It's now been a year
Full of pain and tears
Trying to figure out how we'll
Make it through the rest of
These years

You are so caring

All we have left now are the memories

That we don't think of you

Camp, Holidays, Summer

All the pain inside us makes us
Feel as though we are going to explode

We'll always remember playing cards
How your bony hands were so fast
How much pain we felt the day
That you passed

We have so many inside jokes
About our siblings and our folks
We miss you by our side
How it hurt so bad the day you died

Your family's ok
Your friends alright
But we miss you
And long to hold you tight

We wish you could return
To see you again
We long even yearn

But we'll be home to see you soon
