Memory Lane....

Although Ive settled down now,
And the pain isn't so deep,
I still think about the past back then,
Sometimes before i drift to sleep..

About what happened when i was there,
And I seem to walk along memory lane,
Little things remind me of old friends,
I don't know why the memories remain,

And i cant forget his face,
Or his jokes, his smile, his laugh,
As i search through my room,
And dust off his old photograph...

I know he doesn't think of me,
But i guess that, its okay,
Because I'm not there anymore,
I'm thousands of miles away...

Sometimes you just have to let go,
And close that once opened door,
Move on with your life,
And keep searching for something more.....
