Kingdom Come

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 5, 2005

Kindred spirits let the Kingdom come
Let Heaven and earth be as one
Silent serenity sought by some
Waiting for Thy will to be done

Attempts at the tower of Babel failed
Thoughts to over throw the Throne
Holy of Holies He will be hailed
The power that is God's alone

Ethereal laws entered the earth
To guide us toward the Light
And prepare us for eternal birth
To see what is beyond our sight

Who seeks a Kingdom with no King?
Where the reason rules right or wrong
How may we raise our voice to sing?
When we all hear a different song?

Was not the Bread that feeds our soul?
Not touched by passions flame?
If, to be consumed is our goal
Why must we cast the blame?

May I think without a thought?
Or speak when I am dumb?
Teach without being taught?
Lord let the Kingdom come
