His hair was the color of gold
his voice was so strong and low
his eyes so blue they shined like stars
he had my undivided attention from the moment we met
i was mesmerized without a clue
i barely knew him yet i had never felt more safe
our love was instant but short
everything he said he and did was true
true to his heart and to everyone he knew
still 17 years later i know that he was an angel
everyone he knew loved him intensely
i will always miss him intensely
but always i will cherish
the day that god led that angel to me
however mystically and briefly i don't care
a moment with that angel gave me a lifetime of truth
i don't cry for him now
not even when i hear the dance
i talk to him still
that angel named Kelly will never die
for in my heart hes forever alive
